The goverment has appealed to the Muslim ummah to show understanding in this regard and support government in stemming down the spread of Coronavirus in the State.

Professor Fatusi then enjoined all Muslims to celebrate the festival with their families at home and also use the occasion to pray for Allah’s intervention in the battle against COVID-19 in Nigeria and Ondo State in particular.

He also emphasized on adhering to all precautionary measures against COVID-19 while reminding residents that Government had not rescinded any of the directives targeted at curbing the pandemic including use of face masks, hand washing , social and physical distancing, personal hygiene and all other safety hints against COVID-19.

Professor Fatusi said that the Inter-ministerial Task Force and other security agencies had been mobilized across the State to ensure compliance with the government’s directive.
