Army improves security at Ikorodu

The Nigerian Army says it has improved the security situation in Ikorodu and its environs to the barest minimum.

Commander 9 Brigade, Brigadier General Musa Etsu Ndagi made this known while inaugurating remodeled and newly built facilities including a Sports Complex and a Borehole at 174 Battalion Odogunyan in Ikorodu Lagos.

Brigadier General Etsu Ndagi who was the special guest at the event expressed satisfaction with the facilities and commended the Commanding Officer for reducing crime in the environs, specifically the activities of oil pipeline vandals.

In an address of welcome the Commanding Officer, Lt Colonel Nwachi Inya pointed out that rehabilitation and upgrade of facilities in the barracks were his immediate concern on the assumption of office as he found it necessary to add value to the lives of the people in the barracks.

Senior military and paramilitary officers and traditional rulers graced the occasion.
