Nasarawa State Government has handed over a ₦1.2 billion Hospital Project to the Federal University of Lafia to commence Medical Sciences Programme.
During the presentation of the facility to the management of the university in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule said the gesture was part of the State Government’s commitment towards strengthening the health sector.
He stated that the facility would be used as a teaching hospital for the university.
Governor Abdullahi Sule appealed to the university authorities to give a 50 percent admission slot for citizens of Nasarawa State who are interested in studying medicine to close the gap in the health sector.
Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Sunusi Liman commended Nasarawa State Government for its support to the university in diverse ways since take off in 2011.
