25 health workers in Katsina State have tested positive to COVID-19.
State Chairman, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Comrade Mannir Suleiman who disclosed this to newsmen in Kastina explained that 15 of the infected medical workers were attached to hospitals and health clinics in Rimi Local Government Area while ten other were working in Katsina.
Comrade Suleiman urged medical and health workers to always use Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) while attending to both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients, noting that sufficient PPEs have been provided for health workers across the state for protection against the coronavirus.
The Chairman who observed that community transmission has accounted for most COVID-19 cases in the state appealed to people of the state to observe best practices in the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus.
