Nigerian Defence Academy has appealed for improved funding to adequately enhance effective service delivery.
Commandant of the Academy Major General Jamil Sarham made the appeal while hosting members of the senate committee on defence who were on an oversight function to the Academy.
Major General Jamil Sarham maintained that the academy has Two Thousand five hundred cadets with inadequate bed spaces, hence the need to compliment the effort of TETFUND.

He assured members of the committee that the Academy under his watch will not compromise standards.
Major General Jamil Sarham also appealed for understanding of the committee members and Nigerians in general as the Academy strives to mould young men and women into the Nigerian Armed forces towards confronting security challenges across the country.
In a remark, Chairman Senate committee on defence, Senator Aliyu Magatarkada Wamakko, pledged the commitment of the Ninth Senate in collaborating with the Executive towards addressing security challenges in the country.
