Zamfara state government has donated two hundred operational vehicles to various security agencies as part of efforts to achieve everlasting peace in the state.
The State Governo, Bello Matawalle said the gesture was aimed at strengthening security agencies to counter any forms of criminal activity.
He also stressed the need for joint security collaboration among northwestern states that have been battling with insecurity over the years.
The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant Genera, Tukur Buratai represented by officer commanding 3 division of the Nigerian army Jos, Major General Nuhu Agbazo said the vehicles would surely help security agencies to confronting armed bandits, kidnappers and other criminals.
He said the Nigerian army remains steadfast in maintaining territorial integrity the country and promised to use the vehicles for the purpose they were given.
