NGO advocates passage of electoral reform bill

A Non Governmental Organization, Centre for Liberty, wants the Senate to Consider and pass the Electoral Reform bill currently before the Senate.

They made the call in Abuja, during a peaceful match to the National Assembly.

The Bill which was passed by the 8th Senate was not accented to by President Mohammad Buhari,for some legislative Flaws.

It was represented by the Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo Agege taking into consideration the Barrage of court cases that bedevil every election.

The Co-Convener of the group, Ario-Dare Atoye urged the senate to see to the passage of the bill to ensure a smooth conduct of the upcoming elections.

Mr Ario Atoye implored the President of the Senate to ensure that the Electoral Reform bill is amongst the bills that the Senate would give accelerated consideration before the end the year.
