The Victims Support Fund, VSF Task Force on Covid-19 has donated medical equipment comprising Personal Protective Equipment and medicines to the FCT Administration to fight Covid-19.
This is in continuation of its intervention to states of the federation in an effort to contain the virus.
Presenting the items in Abuja, Chairman of the Organization, retired Lt. General Theophilus Danjuma, represented by a member of the Task Foce and Spokesperson of the organisation, Mallam Alkasim Abdulkadir called for more support to defeat the covid-19 pandemic.
In a address, the Executive Director of the Victim Support Fund, Professor Sunday Ochoche said the gesture was to support government efforts at containing the disease.
Receiving the items on behalf of the FCT Administration, the Acting Director, Administration and Finance, Malan Noel Haruna promised to make judicious use of the donation.
The Director, Special Duties in the FCTA, Dr. Mathew Ashikeni said both public and private hospitals across the territory will receive the items.
The Victims Support Fund had in April this year, distributed food items across the nation where over Two Hundred Thousand people benefited from the intervention, to cushion the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
