The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has affirmed the election of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
The court dismissed the four appeals challenging his victory at the November 16, 2019 election for lacking in merit.
A 5-man panel of justices of the court in a separate judgments upheld the election Governor Bello in a judgement delivered on Saturday in Abuja.
The appeals were filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, the social Democratic Party, the Democratic Peoples Party and the Action Peoples Party
Justice Mohammed Shuaibu dismissed the appeal filed by the Action Peoples Party, APP in a unanimous judgment.
INEC had returned Yahaya Bello as the duly elected governor on November 18, 2019, having scored 406,222 votes , being the highest number of votes in the keenly contested poll.
