The chief of Army staff lieutenant General Tukur Buratai has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Army in curtailing the activities of Banditry, kidnapping and other security challenges bedeviling the development of the country.
General Tukur Buratai stated this during the commissioning of Renovated and newly constructed block of accommodations for soldiers at Bukavu Barracks Kano
General Buratai Said Nigerian Army was working assiduously in ensuring adequate security of live and property in all parts of the country.
He said the Nigerian Army had implored various strategies of fighting the bandit activities in the North West, among which includes exercise Sahel sanity, saying plans on the execution of the exercise were nearly completed.
General Buratai maintained that enhancing the welfare of the Soldiers was among the cardinal objectives of the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari, aimed at boosting their morale to discharge their constitutional responsibility diligently.
Buratai explained that the renovation and reconstruction of decent accomodation for soldiers is ongoing in the army barracks across the nation.
The chief of army staff who inspected ongoing projects at bukavu and janguza barracks urged officers and men of the Nigerian Army to reciprocate the gesture by being committed and dedicated, with the aim of achieving the set objectives.
