Nasarawa State Government says it will continue to support Agro-Allied Industries in the state as part of steps towards reducing unemployment and economic development.
Governor Abdullahi Sule stated this at the inauguration of electrification and Dam projects in Gaate village, Kokona Local Government Area of the state.
The projects were executed by Nigeria Farmers’ Group and Corporative Society as its corporate social responsibility to the immediate community.
According to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Agricultural sector was one of the critical areas his administration had given priority given the vast potentials endowed in it especially in the areas of food production and job opportunities.
National Coordinator, Nigeria Farmers’ Group and Corporative Society, Mr Retson Tedheke said the projects which worth over one hundred million Naira would go a long way in improving the living conditions of the people.
He stated that the Dam Project would address water challenges faced by cattle herders in the area as well as fish farming, while the 100 KVA electricity project would serve Gaate Community and its environs.
