COVID19: Ekiti to randomly test residents

Ekiti state government is to conduct COVID19 test on 400 random people everyday.

Governor Kayode Fayemi made this known in Ado Ekiti while inaugurating a molecular laboratory and a COVID 19 resources response mobilization committee.

Governor Fayemi said the lab would help early discovery and diagnosis of diseases.

He maintain that Government would continue to prioritize the safety and health of the people through provision of adequate medical facilities.

Governor Fayemi who sought the cooperation of the people in prevent the community spread of the virus and emergency of other diseases, warned that Government would not tolerate any act that could endanger public health.

The Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Mojisola Yahaya-Kolade said the Laboratory would also ease the burden of early diagnosis of diseases such as microorganisms, parasites and viruses.
