Union commiserates with family, NNPC over Baru’s death

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) commiserate with the family, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the demise of its penultimate General Managing Director (GMD), Mallam Maikanti Kachalla Baru.

The erstwhile GMD, Mallam Maikanti Baru died in Abuja after a brief illness and was buried on Saturday 30th May 2020 according to Islamic rites.

The condolence message was contained in a media statement signed by IPMAN’s Chairman Kano Chapter, Alhaji Bashir Ahmad Danmallam.

The IPMAN Chairman described the late Baru as a consummate technocrat who served the NNPC and the country with dedication, and the fear of God, stressing that his absence would be greatly missed by his family, the NNPC and Nigeria as a whole.

Ahaji bashir Danmallam further prayed that the almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
