President Muhammadu Buhari has restated the government’s determination to bring mass murderers to their knees and crush them ultimately.
The President was reacting to the recent bandits’ attack in Sabon Birni Local Government Area in Sokoto State.
He said it was unfortunate that bandits had remained active in parts of the country, killing innocent people and throwing families into despair, at a time when efforts had been focused on defeating the COVID-19 pandemic.
President Buhari assured vulnerable communities that the government would not abandon them, saying that a major military operation code named “Operation Accord” had been launched by the military, targeting the bandits tormenting northwest and north-central states.
He reassured Nigerians that the government was determined to protect them against remorseless and psychopathic mass killers, who have no regard for the sanctity of life.
