The Kano state government says 1098 Almajiris have been evacuated out of Kano to different States of the country.
The commissioner for local government Alhaji Murtala sule Garo stated this while Presenting his reports before the State Taskforce on COVID19 at government house kano.
He said they have deported 419 Almajiris to Katsina, 524 to Jigawa and 155 Almajiris to Kaduna, stressing that all of them were tested negative of the dreaded corona virus disease.
Murtala sule Garo maintained that the numbers including the 100 Almajiris slated to be taken to Bauchi were fully tested from the novel COVID19.
In a remark Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said the situations in Kano was getting out of hand, and stressed the need for collaborative efforts to aadress the spread of covid 19 in the state.
He said his administration had set up mobile courts aimed at punishing offenders of Luckdown directives in the state.
Governor Ganduje who commended the residents of the state for observing the total lockdown order said the decision was taken to remedy to halt the spread of the Pandemic.
Earlier the State Coordinator COVID19 Rapids Respond, Dr Tijjani Hussain explained that the state only NCDC test center at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital was Lucked put on hold due to fumigation exercise that was currently taking place in the center which would last for 74 hours.
Tijjani Husaini noted that in the last two days Kano state had recorded 44 suspected cases of Covid-19 bringing the total number of suspected cases to be taken for samples in Abuja to 489 while 74 cases have confirmed positives.
He urged the public to observed personal and environmental hygein targeted at curtailing the spread of covid 19 virus in the state.
