Lagos Deputy Gov negative for COVID-19

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat being tested for Covid-19. The result is negative

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat has revealed that he has tested negative for coronavirus.

Dr Hamzat who revealed his status on tweeter said the covid-19 test was not a pleasant experience, but it was important that as a leader nothing should distract him from his role this period.

He thanked all health workers and appealed to residents to play their role and ended the tweet with the harshtag #StayHomeSaveLives

Meanwhile, The Lagos State Government says it is putting out request forms to fast-track response to suspected Covid-19 cases.

The Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi who made this known via his tweeter handle which has a direct link to the online form explained that the measure was aimed at widening coverage as the State track down Covid-19.

He urged respondents to provide accurate information as required in the form.

A look at the online form show that respondents are required to provide their email address, name, telephone numbers, local government of residence, the nearest bus stops, travel history, and whether they have had direct contact with confirmed patients as well as symptoms currently being exhibited and other necessary information.
