Security agencies in Kano state are on ground to enforce the directives from the state government on boundary closure by the state government Began since twelve midnight this last Friday.
Radio Nigeria correspondent in Kano Abdullahi Jalaluddeen who monitored the situation in Kano reports that security agencies were seen at major routes of entry into the state from neighbouring states denying access to commuters who were trying to gain entrance into the state.
The commissioner of police in Kano CP Abu Sani was seen monitoring the enforcement.
Some of the residents of Kano who spoke with Radio Nigeria in the development commended the decision taken by the state government.
Kano state has not witnessed any case of COVID-19 virus in the state since the emergence of the epidemic.
Radio Nigeria observed that people were going about their Normal businesses as major markets and shopping malls in Kano were opened in the state.
