Minister urges Nigerians to maintain proper hygiene

The Minister of Water Resources, Mr. Suleiman Adamu has urged Nigerians to remain firm in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic threatening the socio-economic life of the nation.

In a Statement the Minister, says it has become necessary to let Nigerians know the importance of complying to laid down procedures and proper hygiene practices as recommended by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control to contain the spread of the Corona Virus across the country.

According to Mr. Suleiman Adamu, he was in the United Kingdom on the 10th of March, returned on the 11th and took all due precautions to protect himself, his family and his contacts.

The Minister of Water Resources added that, he submitted himself to medical scrutiny by the NCDC and was cleared of the Covid-19 disease.

Mr. Adamu urges all Nigerians to ensure social distancing and maintain good hygienic practices through regular hand washing with soap and water to avoid being infected by the Corona Virus.
