COVID-19: AGN considers canceling movie productions

The Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has said it is considering cancellation of movie productions in some locations across the country due to the outbreak of corona virus.

This was revealed by the President of AGN, Mr. Emeka Rollas while addressing newsmen in Abuja on Friday.

According to the president, AGN was not responsible for movie production. However, the body is making efforts to liaise with the Executive Producers who are exclusively responsible for movie production to cancel production for three weeks.

While commending the efforts of the Federal Government, Mr. Rollas called on the AGN to take measures to forestall the spread of COVID-19 ,adding that its members must always move with their hand sanitizers.

In a related development, the former chairman, Abuja AGN chapter, Mr. Agility Onwurah explained that regardless of the economic implication of COVID-19, the AGN would not watch its members being unnecessarily exposed to the dangers of the pandemic in the guise of making movies.
