SGF Boss Mustapha.
The Secretary to the government of the Federation, SGF, Mr Boss Mustapha wants Nigerians to be united on the fight against terrorism instead of calling for the sack of security Chiefs at this moment of trial for the country.
The SGF stated this at the presentation of a book “CAN. Religion, Politics and Power in Nigeria”.
Mr Boos Mustapha who was a special guest on the occasion said the country was going through trial moment that required collective efforts of all citizens to win the war against terrorism, banditry and other forms of criminality facing the country.
He explained that if the country was divided on the issue of security, it would create more room for the perpetrators to carry out their dastardly acts.
The president Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, the Reverend Samson Ayokunle, urged those in the position of authority to use their position to better the lives of the citizens.
The Chairman of the event, Chief Edwin Clark, represented by Ambassador Godknows Igali described religion as a factor that should unite Nigeriana instead of dividing the country.
The author of the book, a former secretary of CAN, Mr Samuel Salifu, said the book was aimed at telling people in authority the truth with the intention of correcting some of their excesses.
Mr Salifu said for the country to have peace, government organisations and individuals must work towards it with all sincerity of purpose.
