The Federal Government says it will continue to seek the release of all captives of terrorists, regardless of their creed or the name of their creator.
This is contained in a statement signed by President Buhari himself on the second anniversary of Boko Haram invasion and abduction of 110 schoolgirls in Dapchi town, Yobe State.
President Buhari recalls that of the 110 innocent girls, 107 survived the ordeal, except Leah Sharibu, who turns 16, and whom they say is denied freedom for refusing to renounce Christianity.
President Buhari reminds the terrorists that no person has the right to force another to change their faith against their will, and that all life is sacred.
He says as the government redoubles efforts for Leah’s return, Nigerians must never allow the terrorists to set them against one another.
The President reminds Nigerians that the country’s major religions are from the same source, emphasising that all Nigerians have the same worth and rights before the law, and before the Creator.
