Presidency uncovers protest against military institutions

The Presidency has cautioned a section of the political class against misleading the public and inciting protests against heads of military institutions.

In a statement, the Presidency says the warning has become necessary in view of received reports that about two thousand men and women have been hired to demonstrate against Nigeria’s service chiefs on Monday.

The statement says this imminent gathering is the latest in a series of demonstrations orchestrated by the opposition to embarrass the federal government.

it alleges that as part of this overall scheme, the opposition has been marching from one embassy to the other in protest against the present administration and the Supreme Court.

The statement further alleges that the opposition is keen to give the impression that Nigerians are in support of them as they take to the streets, and promote this false narrative.

It urged the media to remain unbiased in their reporting, rather than becoming unwitting tools in the hands of the opposition.

When the EFCC connive with NYSC to use corps members to match on the street for what they called anti corruption campaign even when the corps members arrears has not been paid where was the federal government. Anyways I just want to remind them that nonpayment of arrears to corps members is corruption.
