A 24 member committee is to ensure over-see arrangements for the suscessful hosting of the forum
A 24 member committee has been inaugurated for the hosting of the 3rd United Kingdom-Nigeria economic development forum, which is to hold next month.
Minister for State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, Ambassador Mariam Katagum, at the event in Abuja on Tuesday, urged the committee to work assiduously to showcase the socio-economic potential of the country.
The permanent secretary in the ministry, Dr Nasir Sani-Gwarso who is the Chairman of the Committee said; “The 3rd ministerial meeting……is coming at a significant time, when both countries must strengthen commitments especially, with the looming BREXIT deal.”
Nigeria’s strategic economic importance to the UK must be constantly reviewed and safeguarded, Dr Sani-Gwarzo said.
Members of the Committee were drawn from NAFDAC, Standards Organization of Nigeria, and Central Bank of Nigeria.
