The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, says the idea for the creation of more Court of Appeal was adopted to ensure quick dispensation of justice.
Justice Bulkachuwa stated this in Kano at the inauguration of the newly constructed division of the court in the state.
She said the new the Appeal Court across the country would curtail the frustrations litigants encounter while trying to exhaust their rights to appeal.
Justice Bulkachuwa maintained that the expansion of Nigeria’s Court of Appeal across country was aimed at ensuring easy access to justice everywhere.
President of the Court of Appeal gave assurances that the expansion mission would continue until the court was satisfied that access to justice has been made a routine exercise.
Kano state chief Judge, Justice Nura Sagir, said appeals from Kano and Jigawa states formed the bulk of all appeals received at the Kaduna division, which henceforth would served both states.
