Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has been involved in an auto crash near the club’s Carrington training ground.
The Argentina international suffered no injuries, according to a club statement on Monday.
Images after the crash show Romero’s Lamborghini smashed up and under the roadside barrier, facing towards trees.
Romero has acted as United’s back-up stopper in the English Premier League this season to the Spaniard David de Gea. He is yet to feature in the top flight.
But he has played in four of United’s Europa League matches, plus three times in the League Cup and in each of their FA Cup third-round clashes against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He was an integral member of the Argentina national team that reached the finale of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, but lost narrowly to Germany.
