Builders in the country have been charged to always implement the fire safety codes while erecting structures to allow easy access into buildings in the event of fire outbreaks.
The Controller General, Federal Fire Service, Dr Liman Ibrahim made the call in Minna at a forum organized by his Almamater, College of Arts and Islamic Studies, Minna, Niger State.
Dr Liman also called on the citizenry, market administrators and corporate Organizations to avail themselves with fire emergency numbers to enable them make prompt calls to the federal fire service for quick response.
Speaking on the increased fire incidents in markets across the country, the Federal Fire Service Boss called on market management boards to put in place safety measures to discourage domestic activities in markets.
The controller General was presented an award of excellence by by the school for his exemplary leadership.
