NUJ mourns murdered colleague

The Adamawa State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ, has declared one week mourning and prayers for the repose of late Maxwell Nashion of Radio Nigeria Fombina FM Yola that was killed on the 15th of this month.

In a statement by the State Council Chairman, Comrade Donald Dedan made available to newsmen, condemned in totality the killing of its member.

The Statement said the brutal action was not only inhuman, barbaric and affront to humanity, but unpardonable injury to the union.

While commiserate with the family of the deceased and management of Radio Nigeria Fombina FM Yola, the statement called on the state government and security agencies to step up measures that will stem the tide of increasing insecurity more especially kidnapping and armed banditry across the state.
