Police to reward information on murder of Radio Nigeria staff

The Adamawa State Police Command has fixed an undisclosed reward as appreciation to anyone that has useful information leading to the arrest of the culprit that murdered a journalist and staff of Radio Nigeria Fombina FM Yola late Maxwell Nashion.

Speaking to Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Yola, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleman Nguroje, said the Commissioner of Police has directed the homicide unit of the command to swing into action to find the killer.

He said, twenty four hours surveillance has been directed within the area of the scene by the Command.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Yola reports that, late Maxwell Fashion was said to have been attacked by suspected kidnappers at his residence in Gerei local government area of the state where he was tortured to state of unconsciousness and his body was dumped in a nearby bush close to Fombina FM Radio.

He reports that, on Wednesday morning, late Maxwell Nashion body was found and taken to the state specialist hospital Yola for treatment but passed away.

Aged 32, late Maxwell was a staff of news and current affairs department of Radio Nigeria Fombina FM Yola and attached to the State House of Assembly as reporter.

Late Maxwell Nashion is survived by his father, mother and relations.
