FRSC warns motorists against traffic violation

Motorists and Commuters plying the Ibafo-Berger axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway are experiencing hard times due to ongoing reconstruction works on the 600- metre ‘Kara’ Bridge section on the Lagos outbound corridor of the Expressway.

The situation got worse earlier today as a result of an early morning accident involving two trailers around Kara area of the expressway which left many road users stuck in traffic.

Commercial motorists, plying Berger to Ojota took advantage of the situation as they tippled fares.

Some of those who witnessed the situation said they were in the traffic for more than four hours.

Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, attributes the congestion on road to people driving against traffic.

The FRSC Zonal Commanding Officer in-charge of Lagos and Ogun State, Mr. Samuel Obayemi who spoke with our Correspondent urged motorists to be be patient and obey traffic rules.

Mr. Samuel Obayemi, maintained that traffic defaulters would be sanctioned appropriately.
