Nigerians have been urged to stop shifting blames on leaders but contribute their quota towards stability and development of the Nation.
The Senior Pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, Crown of Life, Jikwoyi, Abuja, Pastor Moses OLUMODEJI stated this at a special Service to commemorate Nation’s 59th Independence Anniversary.
The Service is tagged: Arise Nigeria and featured special prayers for the nation.
Pastor Moses said despite Challenges confronting the nation, God has kept the country together since Independent, hence the need for the supports of Citizens to government.
The Senior Pastor, the RCCG, Crown of Life, Pastor Olumodeji advised Nigerians to intensify prayer for the peace and growth of the Nation.
He explained ” We are praying for Nigeria so that God can take us to the top. We are praying for Nigeria that let the peace of God continue to reign.”
An Assistant Pastor, Kolawole Olabisi who maintained that the Month of October remain a Significant in the History of the nation and urged people to trust God for transformation.
“Considering our antecedent, this is not the right time to engage in blame game. Let keep hope alive, in term of Security, Economy”.
Some leaders in the Church, Mr John Azu and Mrs Irene Oku advised Nigerians to have fear of God and Support government towards achieving lasting peace across the Country.
“We should all live according to the details of the Bible, the Book of Proverbs 14 Vs 34 has enjoined us as Christians that Righteousness exhalt the Nation but Sin is a reproach, Sin is like a disgrace to the Nation.
It is for us to fear God, because, If you fear God, you will not harm anybody. They said.
The faithful advised Christians to ensure peaceful co-existence with others irrespective of Tribes, Religion and Cultural background.
