Yenagoa community decries epileptic power supply

Residents of Yenezue-gene in Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa state have expressed displeasure over the epileptic power supply in the community.

Some of the them who spoke with our reporter, Peter Dennis said they are tired of the flimsy excuses by officials of the Port- Harcourt Distribution  Electricity Company, PHEDC, in respect of power outages in the area.

Two of the residents Mrs Ebizimo George and Mr, Samuel Israel said the situation is not only having adverse effect on their businesses but also affecting their means of livelihood.

Also, a trader Mrs. Naomi Blessing and Mr. Ericson Okojina explained that they have continued to spend lots of money to fuel their generators on daily basis, noting that  if  power was constant, electricity consumers  would willingly pay thier bills without complaining.

They urged relevant authorities and the State Government to intervene as hoodlums take advantage of the darkness that envelopes the whole area at night to perpetrate their evil acts.
