Police declare Chimamanda’s kinsmen wanted

The Anambra State Police Command has declared three men wanted over a land dispute between Abba community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State and its neighbour, Ukpo, in Dunukofia LGA.

The three men are Pius Nweke, Isaac Nwafor and Bennett Anekwe from Abba Community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State where renowned writer, Chimamanda Adichie, hails from.

The novelist had severally condemned the alleged intimidation of her people by the Police.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed says that Adichie’s kinsmen were declared wanted for “alleged conspiracy and conduct likely to cause breach of peace in Ukpo, in Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State.

The statement informs the general public that a warrant of arrest was obtained by the Police in respect of the suspects over the alleged conspiracy.

The Command urges the public to contact the nearest Police Station with relevant information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
