Lawmaker advises gov Sule on constituency allowance

The Deputy Chief Whip, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Mr Luka Zhekaba has called on Governor Abdullahi Sule to expedite action and pay their constituency allowances to enable them to provide dividend of democracy to the people.

Mr Luka Zhekaba made the call in Lafia in an interview with Radio Nigeria on the sideline of Nigeria’s independence and Nasarawa State at twenty-three.

The Law Maker who represents Obi two-state constituency stated that non-payment of constituency allowances has made it difficult for the members of the statehouse to provide effective service to their constituents.

He pointed out that since his election as a member of the state house of assembly, he had embarked on several projects in his constituency.

Mr Luka Zhekaba added that he was working on a bill that would provide for monthly stipends for unemployed graduates in the state as part of steps to check youth restiveness.
