18 prisoners freed in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has signed an executive order approving the released of 18 prisoners, serving various jail terms in five correctional facilities across the state.

A statement by the Director Media and Communication, Mr. Solomon Kumangar, says this is pursuant to the Governor’s powers of Prerogative of Mercy, under section 22 (i) and (d) of the Constitution.

It adds that the order has already been dispatched to correctional facilities that include Yola, Numan, Ganye, Jada and Kojoli.
