Motorists and passengers were stranded today for several hours along Gusau to Zaria road as a result of an accident involving a tanker loaded with diesel which fell off the road and caught fire.
An eye witness account said the incident occurred around 7am while the tanker was trying to avoid a man riding a motorcycle around Damba area of Gusau metropolis.
The two men on the tanker sustained injuries while the occupants of a Peugeot 305 vehicle following the tanker behind were said to ran into burning vehicle and burnt to death.
Commenting on the incident, the state sector commander of the FRSC, Uchechukwu Peter said on hearing the information on the incident they mobilized the men of the state fire service who put out the fire after many hours.
He appealed to motorists to be extra careful and always avoid speed especially while appreciating the state capital.
Mr Uchechkuwu said the commission would speed up enlightenment and sensitization programme to both motorists and passengers in line with it EMBER months campaigns.
