Buratai tasks religious group on unity

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai has charge the National Interfaith and Religious Organisation for Peace, NIFROP, to promote peace, unity and mutual Cohesion among Nigerians.

General Buratai made the appeal to the organisation, who paid him a visit at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.

The Chief of Army Staff, represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Lieutenant General Lamidi Adeosun, noted that religion was the most veritable plat-foam to unite Nigerians.

General Buratai urged the group to also educate Nigerians on the essence and virtues of peace, love and true brotherhood among themselves.

The leader of the delegation, Bishop Sunday Yaji stressed the importance of peace and unity towards Nation’s Building.

The National Interfaith Peace and Organisation NIFROP is an organisation that Champion the co-existence of the human face, despite the religious differences.
