The Supervising Engineer of a private engineering firm says work on the 330 KVA Electricity Sub- Station in Nasarawa is to be completed by December this year.
He stated this while taking a delegation from the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering round the project site in Akurba village, Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
According to the Site Engineer, Mr. Johnson, the project stands at over 95% completion as most of the major installations and constructions have been carried out.
The Site Engineer explained that the electricity substation is made up of 6 feeder channels to replace the existing 1 feeder supplying electricity to the state.
He said test transmission of the power project would commence in December this year.
North Central Zonal Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering, Mr. Ahmed Muhammad said the project would be a huge relief for residents of Nasarawa State as it would address their poor electricity challenges.
Mr Ahmed Muhammad commended the contractors for the level of work done so far.
