PDP candidate lists practical application as key to development

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the November 16th Governorship election in Bayelsa, Senator Douye Diri says the practical application of federalism holds the key to the development of States and the country

Senator Diri who stated this at a media parley in Yenagoa said though Bayelsa state some advancement since its creation in nineteen-ninety six, resource control would further accelerate the development of the State.

Having emerged as the standard bearer of the PDP, Senator Diri urged aggrieved aspirants to join him in the quest to win the gubernatorial election.

The Senator representing Bayelsa West in the Senate promised to sustain some of the policies and programmes of the current administration while according priority to job creation and employment for young people, reorganization of the civil service and sports.

He said he has the capacity to govern the State if elected Governor, having served in different capacities including the House of Representatives where he was adjudged to be among the most active federal lawmakers, there was no doubt that he would do his best to develop the State.
