The Secretary to the government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha says ten people will get the grant of N1million each for empowerment during the National Youth Enterprise Empowerment Summit in Abuja.
Mr Mustapha stated this at the Independence Day Press conference as part of activities marking the Independence day in Abuja.
The SGF was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs Office, Mr Gabriel Aduda explained that President Muhammadu Buhari was committed to empowering the unemployed youths across the country.
Mr Gabriel Aduda said a lot of jobs would be created through the creative arts industry to reduce youth restiveness.
Mr Gabriel Aduda gave other lined up activities of the Independence day celebration as follows:
“There will be Juma’at Prayer & Special Lecture on Friday 27/09/19 at the National Mosque, Abuja.
“Interdenominational Christian Service comes up on Sunday 29/09/19 at the National Christian Center, Abuja.
“Monday 30/09/19, there will be National Youth Ent. Emp. Summit (NYEES2) Independence Edition at the International Conference Center, Abuja.
“On the same day, there will be Youth Concert at the Millennium park.
“Tuesday 01/10/19, there will be Independence Media Broadcast by the President by 7 o’clock in the morning.
“There will also be Presidential Change of Guards and Public Lecture/Gala Night at the State House the same day.”
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, represented by the Permanent secretary in the ministry, Deaconess Grace Gekpe said in the past 59 years, the country had made a remarkable progress in key s of the economy.
The Permanent secretary maintained that the country would continue to wax stronger and stronger.
