FG set to recover $9.6bn

The Federal Government says it is intensifying strategies to ensure that the enforcement of the UK ruling for Nigeria to forfeit 9.6 billion dollars in assets to a Foreign Oil and Gas Company Process and Industrial Development P and ID, is set aside.

The Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed told journalists that his counterpart, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, the Governor of the Central Bank Godwin Emefiele and the EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu are in London to push for a leave to appeal the case and to change the narrative by visiting major media organizations and financial institutions so that they could know the truth about P and ID  and the purported contract.

The Minister said high-level strategic meetings were being undertaken between the Federal Government high powered delegation and the legal team to convince the world that there is more to what is being falsely circulated by the P and ID people.

The P and ID/Nigeria case is expected to come up this Thursday.
