A law maker in the house of representatives, from Oyo state Mr Ajibola Muraino wants his colleagues in the National Assembly to contribute some part of their salary for the Nigerians that were evacuated from South Africa.
Mr Muraino made the call during a press briefing at the house of representatives Press Corps Center in Abuja.
He said the gesture would encourage other Nigerians of means to also contribute in empowering the returnees.
The lawmaker also urged wealthy Nigerians to offer employment opportunities to the returnees to ease any hardship they may face on their return.
Mr Muraino urged Nigerians to regard the effort of the Chairman of Peace Air, as a clarion call for all to be selfless and willing at all times to assist their fellow countrymen.
