Kwara State Government has commended Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria for its quality reportage and programmes.
Mr kayode Alabi who identified Radio as one of the most veritable tools in information dissemination, commended FRCN for quality reportage which he said has been uplifting and uniting the nation.
The State Governor, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq represented by his deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi gave the commendation when he received the Management of North Central Zone of FRCN led by the Zonal Director, Mallam Haruna Idris at the Government House, Ilorin.
He charged the FRCN Management to come up with more programs to disabuse the minds of youth from drug abuse and other social vices which he said has become more rampant in this contemporary.
Speaking earlier, FRCN’s Zonal Director, North Central Zone, Mallam Haruna Idris reiterated strong commitment of the Corporation to providing unbiased, balanced and fair coverage of every interest groups.
Mallam Idris explained that FRCN in line with its mandate would continue to disseminate information, promote peace and cultural values through ethical broadcasting and programming.
While congratulating Governor Abdulrazaq on his successful election at the just concluded polls which he said was a mark of acceptability and tremendous trust kwarans have his administration, he solicited for more of the state government’s support to Harmony FM continuously be on air.
The Zonal Director and his entourage had earlier paid courtesies to other stakeholders who have been partners in progress supporting Harmony FM to continually be on air through their patronage.
One of them, Chief Donatus Ejidike who is the pillar of sports in Nigeria also thanked Radio Nigeria for quality coverage of sports activities and pledged his continuous support
Another stakeholder, Alhaji Babatunde Bello, the CEO of Solid worth Hotel pledged to donate an eighteen seater bus to harmony fm to ease its operational activities.
The Zonal Director is in Ilorin the Kwara State Capital as part of his tour of the zone to assess the operations of fm stations under his command.
