The Benue State Government has approved the construction of a multipurpose hall at the NYSC Orientation camp, Wannune tarka LG to address the infrastructural deficit.
Governor Samuel Ortom disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the Twenty nineteen, Batch ‘B’ Stream Two orientation course.
Mr Ortom who was represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports and the Chairman NYSC Governing Board, Mrs Ladi Ishegbe stated that arrangements have been concluded for work to begin immediately after the orientation course.
He charged the corps members to carry out their assignment without fear, assuring them of adequate security and warm reception by the host communities.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mr Joshua Shicha who appreciated the Benue State Government for the gesture, said the dilapidated state of the multipurpose hall has been the major challenge affecting camping activities.
The state coordinator admonished the corp members to use the training acquired to seek innovative ways to reduce the challenges faced by their host communities,
Two corps members, Mercy Odusina and Joseph Aneke promised to use the skills gained to develop themselves and their host communities.
Over one thousand corps members participated at the orientation course.
