The United Nations has pledged to continue to support Nigeria towards achieving its sustainable development goals programmes.
The Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations, Hajiya Amina Muhammad stated this when she paid a courtesy call on Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya in Gombe.
Hajiya Amina Muhammad commended the federal government for improving on the nation’s human development indices through the implementation of sound economic policies.
She also described Nigeria as a safe haven for foreign direct investment with a potential for full Return On Investment, ROI.
In a remark Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya solicited the assistance of the United Nations in tackling some critical developmental challenges in the states.
He reaffirmed commitment of his administration in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people by paying attention to human capital development.
