The newly appointed Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen has pledged to focus on mentorship programmes, girl- child education, and more training for Women especially in the field of science and in IDP camps.
She made this known during a courtesy visit of the management of the National Centre for Women Development to the Ministry.
Dame Pauline Tallen said the shortfall of women’s representation in the field needed to be addressed, to enhance women Development in all spheres of human endeavours.
She commended the establishment of an E- dashboard for sex offenders by the Center pledging the Ministry’s’ support to ensure its effectiveness is curtailing the of rape in the country.
The Director-General of the Center, Mrs Mary Ekpere – Eta congratulated the minister on her appointment and expressed the Centers commitment in executing the responsibilities of the ministry.
