Airlift of Nigerian pilgrims back home after the completion of this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia has been going on smoothly since its commencement nine days ago.
Averagely, two Flights are being operated everyday by the airliners approved for the exercise.
Figures from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria indicates that nine thousand six hundred and fifty eight pilgrims have so far been transported back home in twenty one flights.
The outbound flights are expected to be completed on the fourteenth of next month.
Correspondent Nura Faggo reports that about sixty five thousand Nigerians performed the pilgrimage this year, nineteen thousand of whom came via tour operators.
