Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq has called on Muslim faithful to use the occasion of the Eid-ul-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) celebration to reflect on the lessons of the season.
AbdulRazaq said Muslims must follow the path of sacrifice, selflessness and total submission to the will of God as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, the father of all Abrahamic faiths.
According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin, to felicitate with the Muslim community on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir, it is not enough to offer animals in sacrifice but to translate the qualities to day-to-day living.
The Governor, therefore, called on Nigerians to stay on the course with which the administration of President Mohammadu Buhari, as he gets down to the task of fixing the country, which he said requires the sacrifice of all.
The Governor prayed to God to grant everyone a blessed Eid urging celebrants to think safety and modesty at all time as he called all road users to respect the speed limit and traffic signs to avoid an accident.
