The federal government has been urged to formulate a security architecture that will make the nation’s border secured to prevent the influx of criminal elements into the country.
The National President of a socio-Cultural group, Mr Moruf Olarewaju made the call while delivering a lecture entitled”The Role of Individual, NGO and Community in Containing the Security Challenges facing our Nation ” in Ilorin.
According to him once the country’s borders have properly manned the issue of security Challenges is halfway solved.
Mr Olarewaju explained that foreigners are taking advantage of our porous borders to perpetrate crimes in the country.
He also urged the government to ensure that all outlawed groups are not allowed to operate under any guise to bring sanity into our system.
Mr Olarewaju appealed to the Security agencies to put more effort in ensuring security.
He commended the federal government on the successes recorded in ensuring security as well as the maintenance of law and order in the country.
