Tanko Muhammed sworn-in as CJN

The New Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Hon Justice Tanko Muhammad takes his oath of office held at the Council Chambers at the State House Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn-in Justice Tanko Muhammed as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria.

The swearing-in took place at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.

Tanko Muhammad’s appointment as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria was confirmed by the Senate during last Wednesday session.

In attendance is the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Borno State Governor, Head of Service, Chief of Staff,  Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, President of Appeal Court, Justices of the Supreme Court, Bauchi Governor, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and other senior government officials.

Justice Tanko was born on December 31, 1953 at Doguwa – Giade, a local government area in Bauchi State.
