Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed the commitment of his administration to building an economically stronger Delta State for the benefits of the residents.
The governor stated this in Asaba at the swearing-in ceremony of additional eight Special Advisers , barely two weeks after five Special Advisers were sworn in.
Governor Okowa explained that the appointments were coming in batches to ensure that the right set of persons were fixed into the right positions.
He said the appointment and swearing-in of the new set of Special Advisers,was a demonstration of his administration’s determination and collective resolve to put in place, a viable machinery of governance, which would assist in meeting the challenges of repositioning the State
The Delta State Governor admonished the Special Advisers and other political appointees in his administration, to acquaint themselves with the policy direction of his administration, stressing that the appointments should facilitate professional and technical input into the decision making process of government.
Those who were administered oath of office as Special Advisers include Chief Edwin Uzor, Mr Pascal Adigwe, Comrade Mike Okeme, Prince Kelly Penawou, Chief Mary Iyasere, Mr Johnson Erijo, Mr Daniel Yingi, and Mr Ernest Ogwezzy
Responding on behalf of the Special Advisers, Chief Edwin Uzor thanked the governor for considering them to be part of the team to build a stronger Delta State, assuring that they will work hard for the desired objectives to be achieved.
